The seed from whence my flesh arose
Compares not to the fruit so sweet
Ripened with the age pursed to his beak
Or with the pith of his tongue and cheek
So let me fall and flurry upon tortured turf
To devour from this earth its dying leaves
I send him soaring with billowing breeze
Risen from my roots high into the trees
